These actions should be related to accomplishing a key outcome in the product, such as inviting a colleague, setting up an integration, or adding their credit card information. This tactic has been implemented by Prodpad, where users start their trial with 7 days free, but can increase this number of days almost immediately. For example, entering the name of your product can give users 2 extra days, adding their first idea can give them 1 extra day, and getting an integration up and working can give them 5 extra days. This tactic not only increases the probability of a new trial user turning into a paid customer, but also teaches them how to use the product.
